Celtic defender Oliver Tebily could be heading to Bradford to join former Hearts boss Jim Jefferies, according to reports in Yorkshire. The French defender has failed to command a regular place in the Bhoys first team this season, and with Bradford missing both David Wetherall and Andrew O'Brien through injury, Jefferies will attempt to bring the 24-year-old centre-back to the Bantams on loan until the end of the season, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
27/11/00 FRESH PROBLEMS FOR SUPER BHOY STUBBS
Alan Stubbs has returned to hospital after a bad reaction to his chemotherapy. He is currently back in hospital after collapsing at the fateful Old Firm encounter. Stubbs suffered a relapse in his testicular cancer which seemed to have been cured. However, earlier this month he was told that it has come back and was prescribed a course of chemotherapy. Stubbs has stated that he wishes to continue at Celtic and of course everyone at Parkheads thoughts are with him and his family.

Celtic lost their first domestic match of the season at Ibrox. In a match full of incedent Rangers took advantage of defensive mistakes and bad goalkeeping from new Bhoy Douglas. The highlight of the game from a Celtic point of view was Larsson's 22nd goal, but it was nothing more than a consolation.

Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson freely admits his sending-off in his side's 6-2 thrashing at Celtic earlier in the season was the lowest point of his career. Now, almost exactly three months later, he will captain his side in the most important league fixture of the season so far. It is a turnaround the 22-year-old could not have imagined would happen when he trudged off at Celtic Park.

Celtic midfielder Stilian Petrov is expected to sign an extension to his deal at Parkhead next week. The Bulgarian international has enjoyed an excellent season under manager Martin O'Neill after signing for former head coach John Barnes last summer and is ready to commit himself to the club for another four years. Celtic midfielder Morten Wieghorst has made ''remarkable'' progress following his brain illness and has been moved out of intensive care. The Dane was struck down by a brain virus known as Guillain-Barre Syndrome and there were fears that his football career could be over. But the signs are that the 29-year-old is well on the road to recovery and he has already had equipment sent over from Parkhead to assist him in his fight for fitness.

Lisbon Lion Bobby Murdoch has launched a scathing attack on Eyal Berkovic and claims his recent comments will not stop the Celtic players from beating Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday. The Israeli international has continued to criticise manager Martin O'Neill, claiming he has been harshly treated and is just happy to collect his wages each week ahead of this Sunday's crucial Old Firm derby. But Murdoch, who was an integral part of the 1967 European Cup-winning side, believes Berkovic ''talks a good game'' and should concentrate his efforts on forcing his way back into the starting line-up.

Celtic will attempt to persuade Lubomir Moravcik to stay at Parkhead by signing fellow countryman Samuel Slovak. Moravcik has continually reiterated his desire to leave the Bhoys at the end of this season, and boss Martin O'Neill hopes that the capture of the £700,000 rated FC Tenerife player could change Moravcik's mind over his future. Slovak has not been given a squad number at Tenerife and is seeking a move, and with a change in EU rules meaning he could obtain Spanish citizenship, easing any potential work permit problems.

Celtic have been boosted in the run up to Sunday's Old Firm derby by news that striker Chris Sutton has not broken a toe. However, the former Chelsea man remains a doubt for the trip to Ibrox. Celtic came back with all guns blazing to leave the visitors reeling at the break with goals from Joos Valgaeren, Lubo Moravcik, Henrik Larsson and Johan Mjallby.

Brave Celtic defender Alan Stubbs has vowed to meet his latest cancer scare head on and make a total recovery from the disease. The 29-year-old returned to hospital yesterday and will undergo further treatment for the cancer he thought he had beaten. Stubbs had to have an operation last June after a routine drugs test revealed he had a cancerous growth.

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has not given up hope of persuading Lubo Moravcik to delay his retirement beyond the end of the season. The veteran Slovakian midfielder is adamant that he will call it a day when the season is over even if Celtic qualify for the Champions League. But his Parkhead boss has been overjoyed with his contribution this season and has not yet conceded defeat in trying to convince him otherwise.

Celtic utility man Vidar Riseth is set to complete a £1-2million move to Bundesliga side Munich 1860 later today. The German side will break the club's transfer record to secure the signature of the Norwegian who has failed to hold down a first team place since Martin O'Neill took over as manager. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill revealed his team could have several new regular faces when they face Rangers in the Old Firm CIS League Cup semi-final in February.
