Celtic pulled through a difficult and nerve-wracking game in a surprising fashion where Celtic had the first and last chances and scored them both to bring the points to Parkhead.

In the first chance of the game man-of-the-match Stilian Petrov belted the ball into the top corner with his left foot from a Moravcik cutback.

Dundee had two chances before Celtic got another. Carranza and Sara both missed chances from shooting and heading chances respectively.

As the half wore on Celtic became increasingly desperate as Dundee ran amok in the defence. Claudio Caniggia was getting space to run past the defence as and when he pleased. Joos Valgaeren played his worst game for Celtic, however, it is unfair to place the blame on him in a generally bad defensive half.

Neil Lennon was very good in this half. He swept up lost balls in the midfield and tackled better than the defenders! Bobby Petta was very poor, he lost the ball easily and most of the Dundee chances stemmed from the right hand wing that he should have been in control of.

The second half was a story of rock-bottom lows to ecstatic highs. Celtic had a flurry of chances at the start but failed to capitalize. Soon after Dundee received a lifeline in the form of a Boyd own goal. But it would be unfair to point the finger at Boyd because Dundee had looked as if they could score at any time.

When piss-poor Petta was substituted for Jackie McNamara the performance picked up. The back four was stronger and the attacks had more punch but there were no real chances until the final minute.

During the ninetieth minute there were extremes of emotion from 1-1 lows to 2-1 highs! The goal came from Agathe very late on in a tap in on the goal line, but who cares where it came from, we won!!
